FREELANCE POSITION

Pay Range: $40-$55/hr

Soul Camp Creative is a boutique branding agency with a small, tight-knit team committed to supporting companies who are on a mission to leave this world a better place. The majority of our clients are authors and thought leaders in the health/wellness/personal development space, although we also work with non-profits, retreat centers and medspas.

We are looking for a talented visual designer, an innovative creative thinker, a self starter and a team collaborator to take up some our most immediate project needs. Our hope is to find talented designers that join our team for the long haul but we are also open to the right fit who is in between moments and ready to take on work now.

This person is:

• Create unique visual systems rooted in brand strategy (provided by strategists). This involves:
• Typographic exploration
• Creating/sourcing custom imagery
• Organizing visual content into agency’s template
• May occasionally present work to clients, either live or via video
• Set the stage & expectations for the client (What are they about to review? How should they make their assessments?)
• Articulate what the various type, color, and image choices communicate
• Explain why visual decisions were made and how they relate to the brand strategy
• Must have Creative Cloud license
• Must have competency in: Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and XD
• Must have familiarity with Squarespace site builds. Custom coding within Squarespace a definite plus!
• At least 4 years of experience in developing visual systems for clients.
• Able to attend Monday and Thursday staff meetings
• File management on personal machine + monthly backup on agency Dropbox
• Collaborative attitude
• Timely. Able to meet deadlines and readily communicate when potential problems arise that may affect project delivery.
• Reports to Creative Director. Supported by project manager.
