Duties and Tasks:

• Work with stakeholders to define business and system requirements for new information technologies, particularly in the areas of BI, analytics, and data warehousing.
• Development in a variety of tools including Power BI, T-SQL, DAX and Power Query in an MS SQL Server and Oracle database environment.
• Responsibilities include requirements specification, solution design, prototype plans, developing and testing code, solution release, and supporting issue analysis and resolution
• Ensure best practices are established and followed for effective dataset and report design and development.
• Account for the accuracy of data presented to BI users through the execution of validation processes and testing procedures.
• Analyzes and determines informational needs and elements, data relationships and attributes, proposed manipulation, data flow, data output and reporting capabilities
• Designs creative prototypes according to specification
• Ensures interoperability with IT infrastructure components while ensuring compliance with wide-ranging information security requirements
• Ensures application integration interoperability with other applications or subsystems (e.g. interface management, data integration systems, job automation)
• Develops technical documents to accurately represent application design and code
• Educate business stakeholders on intelligence reporting strategies and capabilities.
• Analyze existing operations and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of the data architecture.
• Performs other duties as directed
• Leads, plans, and executes projects and small initiatives

Requirements:

• Professional knowledge of English language
• 3+ years experience in Power BI
• Requires a BS/BA degree;
• PC, spreadsheet, and database skills, as well as experience in standard Business Information tools and programming/query languages is also required. The majority of time will be spent programming.
• This job is focused on complex data mining analysis as compared to the Bus Info Developer job.
• Experience required: PowerBI, Tableau, MS BI tools (SSRS, SSIS, SSAS),
• Experience preferred: MS SQL server, Teradata, SharePoint
• Strong data analytics and validation skills required.
