Position Purpose

Contracts are at the heart of every business relationship. SirionLabs is a leader in Contract Lifecycle Management and is leveraging AI and human-centred design to change how contracts are executed and managed to transform how businesses contract for success.

As a UX Researcher, you will play a critical role in deeply understanding our users and customers, how they work and use our SirionOne today, while also exploring how they may in the future. Your research contributions will directly impact product and design decisions and guide the design of our product and user experience.

Partnering with UX Designers and Product Managers, your research scope will span from early generative research and problem definition to post-launch validation and learning, using a variety of research methods. You may also be working alongside our machine learning AI Research Scientists and engineers to try to translate AI models to user-centric ones.

You will work to understand customer needs and behaviours by conducting user interviews and contextual field research; framing problems; synthesizing insights; validating and testing concepts or prototypes; analyzing quantitative data and learning how our users and customers are using our launched SirionLabs products in their work setting in new and unexpected ways.

Our UX Research practice is in its early stages – you will be the first researcher. As such, you will have the opportunity to lead shaping how we conduct research; how it gets shared; and how it influences product and design decision making. You will also have the opportunity to partner with our UX leaders to shape our Research Ops practice to scale the efficiency and impact of our research.

You will be conducting research with our user located in North America, Europe and Asia, and working with our UX, Product and Engineering teams located in Gurgaon, India; Toronto, Canada; and Nice, France.

Responsibilities:

Planning Research

• Partner with Product, Design and Development to provide input on our product roadmap by understanding and advocating for user needs

• Design and execute user research studies that span the entire product development process, varying in approach, scale, scope and time-frame
• Plan, coordinate and conduct longitudinal studies with users and customers to understand their experience over time
• Contribute to shaping and evolving our formal user and customer research panel

Conducting Research

• Conduct research using a range of qualitative and quantitative research methods
• Conduct 1-on-1 interviews with our users and customers around the world, both in-person, on-site and remote
• Bring design prototypes into the field and provide actionable feedback based on findings
• Coordinate and lead the ongoing user validation via in-person and remote usability testing

Synthesizing Research

• Synthesize and share insights and findings with Product, Design, and Development team members to inform product and design decisions
• Prioritize actionable outcomes and follow through on insights, ensure they result in product design improvements in what we ship, changed product priorities and/or roadmap enhancements

Sharing Research

• Share broadly the user insights and findings with the immediate Design, Product and Development teams, as well as the broader SirionLabs team
• Identify and develop new ways to share user and customer insights across all SirionLabs team members – help us operationalize our research practice
• Develop and implement processes for efficient and effective UX research operations, including participant recruitment, scheduling, and UX Research tooling.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that UX research studies are well-designed, well-executed, and actionable, with a focus on delivering high-quality insights that drive product improvements.

Build Research Ops

Technical Competencies:

• 5 to 7 years in user testing, research, or experience design for web, mobile, emerging digital and in-person experiences
• Strong in-person and remote 1-on-1 interviewing skills, including planning, and conducting interviews.
• Extensive experience with a broad set of generative and evaluative research techniques
• Willingness to experiment with new research techniques.
• Experience in conducting research in a B2B environment.
• A deep understanding of the end-to-end iterative product design process
• Experimentation with emerging research and synthesis tools & techniques, including generative AI
