Senior UI Designer in Saudi Arabia (Relocation)

Description of the offer

VMLY&R is looking for a Senior UI Designer to join our team located in Saudi Arabia – Riyadh and Spain!

How would we describe the role and our perfect candidate?

• Available to travel and live for 12 or 6 months abroad working for international clients in English in and fly back to Spain every 3 months.
• Work closely with other designers, product managers, engineers, marketers, and data scientists to deliver polished designs
• Advocate for the service/product’s highest quality, always striving to produce aesthetically pleasing and usable products.
• Own both the interaction and visual design of the products, defining consistent UI components and guidelines following well-established patterns and standards.
• You’re comfortable with all stages of the design process, from discovery to delivery.
• You will have to understand and visualize complex systems, from business concepts over data sets to design system components.
• You have excellent knowledge of digital design and visual theory (i.e., composition, color theory, typography, etc.), a sharp eye for layout design, and a strong affinity for the latest design trends, along with a mastery of freehand illustrations and/or digital drawings.
• Inspire innovative approaches to design, using creative facilitation techniques and taking the lead at stakeholder meetings and team brainstorm sessions.

About your knowledge and personal skills

• Minimum 4 years of experience as a UX/UI Designer, designing native apps, web, and other devices for e-commerce or e-learning products.
• Amazing online portfolio.
• Ability to understand business requirements and user needs and transform them into functional design proposals.
• Obsessive attention to detail and good taste in layout, typography and visual hierarchy.
• Understanding of how user research should be integrated into a project and a good understanding of all the other relevant skill sets, including Business Design, IT, Brand and Marketing.

About your knowledge and personal skills

• Be an expert in UI Design and the development of responsive designs and navigable prototypes
• Have management skills and communication with the client
• Know how to work with Design Systems
• Be used to work as a team
• Love telling what you know to your peers
• Have a high level of English (B2.2 or C1)
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Powerpoint, Excel).
• Knowledge of Spanish and Arabic will be a plus
• Strong interest in International Mobility (12 or 6 months abroad) opportunities
