About the Role:

As a UI/UX Designer Contractor at Marveri, you will play a crucial role in designing the user experience and interface of our platform. You will be:

  • Collaborating closely with founders, engineers, and legal professionals to design intuitive and impactful user interfaces for our platform.
  • Leading the design of both platform and marketing assets, ensuring a cohesive branding and user experience.
  • Ensuring a seamless handover of design assets and a clear understanding of the intended user experience to the engineering team.
  • Helping establish and promote design guidelines, best practices, and standards.
  • Evaluating the usage of the platform using qualitative and quantitative metrics and leading ways to improve it.
  • Doing a wide-range of random design tasks that may come up from time to time – we’re a scrappy startup!

Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven experience as a UI/UX Designer or similar role, with a portfolio showcasing your design work in B2B SaaS applications.
  • At least three years of professional work experience in UI/UX design.
  • Available to work for at least 10-20 hours per week.
  • Proficiency in design tools including Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, and an understanding of web development technologies and evaluation systems.
  • Experience in User Research and design thinking methodologies.
  • Experience working collaboratively in a team environment with other designers and engineers.

Functionality

  • Search & Filter: Users should be able to search and filter glycans, molecules, and enzymes based on various parameters like molecular weight, charge, etc.

  • Workflow Integration: The app should integrate seamlessly with Prepaire’s existing LIM operating system and other apps in the MultiOmics App Store.
  • In Silico to In Vitro Connection: The app should offer a way to connect computational models to realworld lab experiments, aligning with Prepaire’s mission to connect in silico with in vitro.

 

User Experience

  • Onboarding: A quick tutorial or walkthrough for first-time users explaining the app’s functionalities.
  • Navigation: Intuitive menu layout, easily accessible features, and a logical flow between different sections of the app.
  • Accessibility: The design should be accessible to users with disabilities, including but not limited to color contrast and text readability.
  • Feedback Mechanisms: Include tooltips, help icons, and real-time feedback to guide the user through complex tasks.

 

Aesthetics

  • Color Scheme: Align with Prepaire Labs’ brand colors but also consider the readability and clarity of scientific data.
  • Typography: Choose a clean, readable font that works well with both textual and numerical data.
  • Iconography: Use scientifically accurate icons where applicable.

 

Technical Specifications

UI/UX Designer for Unity Mobile and PC

We have an immediate opening for a UI/UX Designer for a consumer-focused mobile app (iOS, iPadOS, Android), and eventually a PC app, that is being developed on the Unity platform.

We are looking for a friendly, polished, and familiar experience that a user from 25 to 65 years old can pick up and use intuitively. The initial engagement is expected to be 3-6 weeks with a potential extension.

The ideal candidate will have the following experience and capabilities:
