Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Full Stack developer
• 2+ years experience with Shopify Plus
• Proven success architecting, scoping, and delivering enterprise Shopify solutions
• Strong experience working with Shopify’s various APIs
• Strong experience integrating custom app integrations including the creation of Shopify apps
• Strong sense of ownership
• Well-versed in modern engineering practices
• Self-starter
• Learning mindset
• Passion for delighting customers and stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working at an agency
• Experience with modern frontend libraries, frameworks, and technologies
• Experience with subscriptions (Recharge)

What you’ll be working on

About The Role

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Senior Shopify Developer to lead the development of Shopify projects for their clients.

The Senior Shopify Developer’s responsibilities will include the architecting, scoping, and leading the development of Shopify Plus projects – working collaboratively with the client and internal TGK teams. They will be ultimately responsible for the successful delivery of client projects and as such they will evolve development processes and mentor other engineers on Shopify best practices.

The ideal Senior Shopify Developer for TGK will be able to collaborate with clients professionally and respectfully and have a high sense of ownership of all work products.

Responsibilities

• Key Outcome: client satisfaction through the high degree of quality and speed of delivery the engineering team is known for
• Leading the development, migrations, and technical implementations of Shopify projects
• Architect and deliver technical solutions for unique brands – balancing business requirements, effort, and technical implementation
• Scoping and estimation of projects – communicating solutions with clients and internal teams
• Evolve engineering best practices in service to rapid, high quality releases delivered to clients on time and on budget
• Proactively staying on top of emerging technologies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, project managers, and others on the engineering team
