AL Solutions are working in close partnership with a small fast growing, international Oncology specialist CRO that are looking for a Senior Business Development Director to join their developing commercial team.

Our client have seen excellent levels of growth in recent years with very exciting plans to continue this journey throughout 2024, due to their increased exposure across European territories.

We are looking for a season business developer with a strong background in developing and securing new business with previous experience selling CRO services across Europe and USA.

The position can be worked from home across Europe.

 

Responsibilities

  • Identify clients and specific clinical trial opportunities in the target market
  • Develop strategic sales plans to penetrate organisation target markets
  • Lead and manage the development of key client relationships with project teams and functional leadership personnel
  • Ensure all client documentation, RFI & proposals meet the clients needs and objectives
  • Provide additional support to the Commercial leadership as required
  • Identify commercial considerations that may encourage the development of clients and repeating revenue
  • Provide sales mentorship and training to junior colleagues
  • Deliver high quality and accurate sales reporting, including reporting of activities achieved and planned
  • Share industry and client insights with internal stakeholders, as well as pricing and competitor information gained through external interactions.
  • Provide sales leadership working with the proposal and budge, marketing and operations teams to provide client documentation including RFI, Proposals, Budgets and Bid Defence strategies to secure sales opportunities

Requirements

  • Life Science degree or equivalent
  • Proven business development background with strong track record of generating new business and expanding key accounts
  • Experience selling into Biotechnology organisations is essential
  • Strong background working in a business development position within a full-service CRO
  • Proven track record of meeting and overachieving sales targets
  • Strong background of on projects linked to Oncology & Rare Diseases

Benefits

£100 – £120k plus commission
