About you

As a customer facing Sales Manager at Viable Data, you will be someone who can adapt quickly and easily to the flexible needs of our Central Government customers. You will provide support to the Account Directors in delivering a seamless Client Experience as we move along the sales/project lifecycle. This means that the role will be varied in its content depending on the needs of the business but largely focuses on supporting multiyear deals, and winning new business. As you expand and master your skill, we would expect you develop into a more advanced role.

This role is largely remote with occasional business essential travel.

Due to the nature of work, you must be willing to undergo and be capable of achieving SC clearance and be a UK resident.

Key responsibilities

  • Researching new opportunities and information in support of bids and propositions
  • Understanding your customer through stakeholder mapping, identifying key people instrumental for account growth.
  • Delivering profitability through effective pricing and positioning.
  • Collaboration and recruitment of team members in support of sales.
  • Facilitating meetings to efficiently achieve objectives.
  • Utilise story telling techniques to influence customers into using our services.
  • Pursuing sales leads through various communication techniques. Including cold calling.
  • Managing your quota.
  • Using Business Led Value Selling skills to highlight the benefit of Viable Data’s services.

Skills and experience needed

  • Relevant industry experience including selling of services.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Polished presentation skills
  • Organisation, time management and collaboration skills – working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, being able to influence and build rapport.
  • High emotional intelligence skills and being able to identify the mood of our customers.
  • Highly effective negotiation skills.
