The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
Thailand Market Access is responsible for driving operational market access activities for both launched and pipeline products to support Medical Solution Division (MSD) business in
Thailand
As a Market Access leader you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. In this position you will be responsible for the following:
- Ensure reimbursement (National Health Insurance: NHI) coverage for innovative 3M MSD products and adequate economic values demonstration at launch and beyond.
- Ensure the process for which marketing authorization has been obtained from regulatory authorities are available to all patients who may receive benefits.
- Assess potential product entry barriers into Thailand and propose/implement strategies to overcome potential barriers with relevant MSD business functions.
- Collect and communicate clinical evidence relevant to different decision makers, and implement product development strategies Work collaboratively to develop and execute plans for generating and communicating evidence of value of new interventions to healthcare reimbursement.
- Market research for MA assessment & MA strategy development. Ensure maintenance of reimbursement price level (Project management for NHI price cuts, re-evaluations and NHI indication setting activities).
- Establish network with NHI stakeholders (MOH) to implement and defend 3M solutions into the Thailand market.
- Provide insight based on local reimbursement and coverage potential into business strategies and plans to support new product launch.
- Ensure a proactive monitoring and actions to address and shape health policy & reimbursement policy changes in Thailand.
- Elevate, align with business and drive critical advocacy and lobbying activities according to MSD / HCBG business directions.
- Equip commercial team with locally relevant economic value messages through localization of existing tools developed at global level and ensure internal teams training: focus on 3M key products.
- Support efforts to attract tourism healthcare/private opportunities with evidence.
- Represent 3M MSD in industry market access advocacy groups and trade associations.
- Collaborate with Government Affairs on all policy issues relevant to market access and reimbursement.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Master’s degree
- A minimum of 5+ years of medical device/technology industry, pharmaceuticals, and/or health related industry experience
- Previous experience in market access/reimbursement activities in Thailand
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Advanced degree (e.g. PhD, MPH, Pharm.D.) preferred
- Experience working with government agencies and health ministries
- Experience in health economics
Work location:
Travel: May include up to 30% domestic travel
