About the Role

As Keeper’s Localization Manager for the APAC region, you will lead our localization efforts, ensuring the successful adaptation of our products, software, websites, marketing materials, and other content to resonate with our global customers. Your role will be vital in maintaining brand consistency, promoting customer satisfaction, and driving business growth in various regions around the world.

Responsibilities

  • Translation: Translate technical documents, user manuals, software interfaces, and other technical content from English to Japanese while ensuring accuracy and clarity. Adapt content to the cultural and linguistic preferences of the target audience. Verify the accuracy of translated content through proofreading, editing, and quality assurance processes.
  • Localization Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive localization strategy aligned with the company’s overall business objectives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, content, and customer support, to ensure cohesive localization planning and execution.
  • Vendor Management: Identify and onboard external localization partners, including translation agencies and freelance linguists. Oversee vendor selection, negotiation of contracts, and monitor performance to ensure high-quality and timely deliverables.
  • Content Localization: Manage the end-to-end localization process for all product-related content, marketing materials, user interfaces, documentation, and multimedia assets. Ensure linguistic accuracy, cultural relevance, and adherence to industry best practices.
  • Quality Assurance: Establish and maintain stringent quality assurance procedures to validate the accuracy and consistency of localized content. Conduct regular reviews and audits to identify and address any issues promptly.
  • Global Collaboration: Foster effective communication and collaboration with international teams to understand regional market requirements, cultural nuances, and customer preferences. Advocate for the importance of localization in driving business success.
  • Localization Tools and Technology: Evaluate, implement, and maintain localization tools and technologies to streamline workflows, improve efficiency, and enhance the overall localization process.
  • Budget and Resource Management: Develop and manage the localization budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and resource allocation based on project requirements and company goals.
  • Training and Support: Provide training and guidance to internal teams on localization best practices, cultural sensitivity, and the importance of inclusive language in global communications.
