Head of UX and Design (Portfolio Company Hire)

A great opportunity to be a part of an exciting opportunity with a portfolio company of HappyHour. Working directly with the CPO and CEO you will strategically lead and execute all visual identity and design initiatives for a new venture in the social casino space – more details will be given to shortlisted candidates.

The role can be based in either Malta or Marbella on a hybrid set-up.

HappyHour.io is a seed and early stage investor within the iGaming industry. We go all in early. We work with brilliant people on novel ideas. We help shape them, grow them, into meaningful stories at an epic scale.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the companies UX and Design department by taking full ownership of the design process. Collaborating with Product Department to efficiently convert requirements into wireframes, mock-ups and prototypes.
• Develop and maintain website mock-ups, user journey flows, prototypes, navigation maps, and other design and user experience related documentation.
• Monitor competitors, technological advances and web design trends to ensure that the company’s websites are best in class.
• Prepare source files for development and assist developers in the implementation of source files.
• Present design and user experience strategy, vision and timelines to all relevant parties.

Requirements:

• Deep understanding of casino customers motivations, needs and expectations.
• Online casino UX and UI experience is essential.
• Good knowledge of user-centred design principles, information and visual design best practices, including web standards and accessibility.
• Experience working on high pressure projects with strict deadlines.
• Creative and forward-thinking approach to problem solving.
• Experience using website design prototyping tools such as: Figma, Webflow, Adobe XD etc.
• Ability to create basic images and banner using Photoshop or similar tools.
• Good knowledge of HTML/CSS.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• An up to date portfolio showcasing UX and UI Design would be beneficial.
