We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced remote UI/UX Graphic Designer to join our team at Greyscalegorilla. The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio of work demonstrating their expertise in layout, typography, and website, landing page, and app design. They thrive in a fast-paced, creative environment

Position: Full time employee, 40 hours/week Location: Remote-work from home, North American based position (US or Canada).

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Collaborate with the head of product, marketing team, product management and engineering to define and implement innovative solutions for the online catalog product direction, visuals, and experience.
• Have complete responsiblility for the UI/UX and visual experience of our online catalog, picking up where the previous team left off. Managing the existing design system in Figma and working closely with the development team to enhance it.
• Own the graphics and visual experience on the website. Taking over the design system in Figma and expanding upon it.
• Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering.
• Conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity and user-friendliness to complex design roadblocks.
• Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
• Present and defend designs and key milestone deliverables to peers and executive-level stakeholders.
• Conduct user research and evaluate user feedback.
• Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices, and standards.
• Collaborate with the Creative Director and marketing team to design materials that align with our brand guidelines and messaging.

 

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

• 3 or more years professional experience in graphic design with a concentration on web UI/UX.
• Proven graphic design experience with a strong portfolio (must include previous website design and app design work).
• Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction.
• Ability to present your designs and sell your solutions to various stakeholders.
• Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively.
• Up-to-date with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies.

 

TOOLS OF THE TRADE

• Expert level Figma skills are a must (including auto-layout and advanced prototyping techniques).
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for rapid prototyping.
• Adobe Creative Cloud
• Linear, JIRA
• Notion
• Slack
• Google G Suite
• Experience with 3D applications is considered a bonus (ie-Cinema 4D, Houdini, Blender, Unreal Engine)
