Position: Backend Focused Full-Stack Engineer

Salary: $140,000 – $180,000

Location: Remote-first (team spread across Europe, Americas, and Asia)

About the role:

The company seeks a talented Backend Focused Full-Stack Engineer to help build pioneering DeFi solutions. This role will play a vital part in designing, developing, and bringing product features from the idea stage to full realization. Collaborating closely with Product Managers and Designers, the role requires translating visions into tangible results while working in a distributed, multi-disciplinary team of outstanding software engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Address and overcome architectural challenges of existing applications and libraries.
• Develop and maintain high-quality code, focusing predominantly on backend development.
• Collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders to design, implement, and optimize new features.
• Optimize the usage of open libraries in the application to ensure scalability.
• Undertake testing and debugging to ensure application reliability and stability.
• Stay updated with emerging web and blockchain development trends and technologies.

Tech Stack:

Backend: TypeScript with SQL and NoSQL, GraphQL, NestJS, PostgreSQL, Redis, and Solidity for smart contract development.

Frontend: React, Next.js with TypeScript, RxJS, Storybook with Theme UI, Mocha, and Chai for automated testing.

Requirements:

Preferred:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Full-Stack Engineer, especially backend.
• Proficiency in TypeScript, NestJS, Docker, Lambda functions, Hardhat, Solidity, and Mocha.
• Experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience in service-oriented architecture and backend web application/services development.
• Understands front-end technologies, including React, RxJs, and Next.js with TypeScript.
• Team player with an eagerness to share knowledge.

Supplementary (Not mandatory but favourable):

• Demonstrated interest in DeFi, Blockchain, and staying updated on latest DeFi market technologies and models.
