What will you be doing?

Adarga is a rapidly scaling up organisation and we are growing our Design Team. You will need to understand Human-centred Design and be able to use the Design Thinking Process. We are growing our team and are looking for an Middleweight User Experience
Designer to join us. Our small team of designers work on innovative and exciting projects. You’ll be working on cutting-edge technologies and will have the opportunity to develop a wide range of new skills on the job. We are looking for a talented Designer with a passion to positively impact the lives of many through the use of user centred design, technology and purposeful innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the design team to develop and expand product design systems.
  • Work collaboratively with Product Managers, Engineers, User Researchers and stakeholders to reach the best possible outcome
  • Translate insights into design concepts to test and validate design directions and decisions.
  • Apply your skills throughout the entire product life-cycle including research and analysis, idea generation, wireframing, visual design, prototyping and usability testing.
  • Create design artefacts such as personas, experience maps and solution blueprints to ensure we build a user-centred and meaningful end-to-end experiences.
  • Understand the array of technical constraints/limitations, user goals and business requirements that shape a product.

 

Essential requirements

  • Previous experience of working in multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Strong understanding of UX principles and the user experience design process.
  • Proven expertise in research, conceptual design, prototyping, detailed design, usability testing and implementation.
  • Creation of a range of UX deliverables including sketching, journey mapping, flows, scamps, wireframes, and simple prototypes using a variety of design tools such as Figma.
  • Expert skills in design tools like Figma, Sketch.
  • Experience of following a customer centric and insights driven iterative approach with a portfolio or samples of work demonstrating experience creating user-centred design solutions.
  • Previous experience of working with Agile and Lean delivery methodologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A passion for working with others and sharing best practice.

 

Desirable

  • Can reduce complex problems down to the usable and powerful interfaces.
  • Have a solid understanding of interaction design, usability, psychology, visual and information design, and human factors.
  • Good understanding of UI Atomic Design.
  • Experience of designing and shipping high quality web and app based products.
  • Experience using Adobe Creative Suite.

  • Getting to know you:

In the first call, let our recruiter learn about you and your story to check a potential fit for Adarga. This is also a chance for you to ask first questions about the role and company.

  • Team Interview:

In this meeting, you will meet with your potential team members who will take a deeper dive into your experience and what you could bring to the team. This is a chance for you to gain a better understanding of our UX processes and practices too.

  • Final Interview:

You made it to the very last stage! Here we will look to gain a better understanding of your experience to date, a chance to walk through a project you have worked on before and give you an opportunity to see the wider team during an informal talk.
