We’re looking for talented technical writers to join us! You will be working on one of our client projects partnering with their Developer Education team to create documentation for new features, products, and APIs. You will play a major role in ensuring that these new features and products are properly adopted and used effectively by developers around the world.

We’re Stack Builders, a US software consultancy with offices in New York, Quito, and Madrid. We work together to deliver high-quality, pragmatic software solutions for our international client base, and we’re looking to grow our dedicated, diverse team.

For this remote contractor position, we’re looking for experienced professionals who are passionate about content creation and API documentation. Come and help us build a more connected world through your creative content to power digital communications.

Requirements

What you will bring:

• Proficiency in creating content with a minimum of 2 years of experience developing technical documentation.
• Familiarity with information architecture and content strategy as it relates to scalable documentation sets.
• Proficiency in written English that demonstrates your ability to create clear, task-based content.
• Experience documenting APIs.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, asynchronous environment.
• Availability to overlap at least 4 hours with US PDT time zone working hours.

• If you’re located in the US you would be working as a contractor under an LLC, C-Corp, or S-Corp.
• Fluent and efficient communication skills in English are a must as you will be communicating directly with the client and other team members.

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with the Wagtail CMS
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages
