Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Delivery Manager to join our team, with a focus on managing projects and onboarding new food retail and M&I clients. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless execution of projects, from initiation to completion, while fostering strong relationships with clients in the food professional services sector. As a Project Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining effective communication, managing resources and deliverables to ensure the timely and successful delivery of our services.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Lead end-to-end project management efforts for onboarding new food retail clients and large projects for either new or existing clients. Define project scope, goals, and deliverables, create detailed project plans, and manage tasks according to agreed timelines. Monitor and manage project risks, issues, and changes, ensuring projects stay on track and within budget.
  • Client Onboarding: Collaborate closely with the sales and business development team to transition new food retail clients from the sales process to the implementation phase. Facilitate client onboarding meetings, gather requirements, and ensure a comprehensive understanding of client needs. Act as the main point of contact for clients throughout the onboarding process, managing expectations and addressing concerns and working seamlessly with the product delivery teams.
  • Collaboration : . Collaborate with cross-functional teams including technical experts, to ensure resources are aligned with project needs. Monitor resource utilisation and make adjustments as necessary to meet project goals.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Maintain proactive and open lines of communication with clients, internal teams, and stakeholders. Provide regular project updates, address queries, and manage expectations. Prepare and present project status reports to management and clients, highlighting progress, milestones, and potential roadblocks.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement quality control processes to ensure that project deliverables meet or exceed client expectations and industry standards. Conduct thorough testing and validation of solutions before client deployment. Address any issues promptly to maintain project integrity.
  • Continuous Improvement: Regularly assess project management processes and client onboarding procedures. Identify opportunities for process improvement, increased efficiency, and enhanced client satisfaction. Implement best practices to streamline workflows and deliver consistent results.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, or a related field. PMP certification is a plus.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in project management, preferably within the food retail or related industry.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while prioritising tasks effectively.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a keen attention to detail and a focus on delivering quality results.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Familiarity with the food retail sector and its unique challenges is advantageous.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to motivate cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
  • Adaptability and resilience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organisational skills and a commitment to meeting deadlines
