As a Product Manager, Data Science at Inspera, you will be responsible for building and enhancing data-driven products, promoting data-driven decision-making, and establishing best practices in data and analytics. You’ll play a pivotal role in harnessing data, analytics, and artificial intelligence for organisational innovation. Additionally, you will oversee and support integrations within our product ecosystem.

You will collaborate closely with data scientists, engineering, design, marketing, and sales, to define and execute the product roadmap. You will acquire a deep understanding of customer needs, market trends, and industry best practices, which you will use to deliver innovative and user-centric capabilities. Combining strong analytical skills, strategic problem-solving, and a deep understanding of data science fundamentals will be pivotal in advancing the product.

 

Product Strategy and Roadmap

  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Define and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for your designated part of the product to stakeholders and the development team.
  • Prioritise features and enhancements based on customer feedback, business value, and technical feasibility.
  • Continuously monitor market dynamics and proactively adjust the product strategy as needed.

 

Product Development and Execution

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Work closely with the data science team and engineering teams to ensure timely and high-quality product delivery
  • Conduct user testing and gather feedback to validate and iterate on product features and design.
  • Drive the agile product development process, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release management.

 

Customer Engagement and Insights

  • Engage with clients, prospects, and stakeholders to understand their needs, pain points, and use cases.
  • Conduct user interviews, surveys, and usability studies to gather insights and validate product hypotheses..
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, gathering feedback and fostering long-term partnerships.

 

Product Performance and Optimization

  • Define and monitor key product metrics and success criteria.
  • Analyse data and user feedback to identify opportunities for product improvement and optimization.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to develop effective go-to-market strategies and product positioning.
  • Track industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure our products remain innovative and competitive.

 

Requirements

 

    • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field  (Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics or similar would be preferable). A master’s degree is a plus.
    • Solid understanding of data science principles and their application in product development. Experience in leveraging data analytics and machine learning to inform product decisions and enhance user experience is highly desirable.
    • Proven experience as a Product Manager or similar role in a software or SaaS company, preferably in the education or edtech industry.
    • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute product strategies and roadmaps.
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
    • Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills..
    • Passion for education technology and a deep interest in shaping the future of assessment and learning.
