Job Description: We are seeking a talented and experienced Creative Director to work on a part-time, freelance basis to lead our design and creative efforts. This role will require someone with a combination of creativity and strategic thinking to enhance our product selection, brand identity, and digital presence. The role will require direct graphic design and visual content creation as well as the possibility to manage others doing this work. The role will require somewhere between 10 and 20 hours per month.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Design: Spearhead the design of new products, ensuring they align with our brand’s aesthetics, selecting colors, and evaluating and providing feedback on samples. We launch a few new SKUs per year.
- Brand Identity: Develop and maintain a cohesive brand identity across all platforms, ensuring consistency in our message and visual representation.
- Digital Presence: Oversee the online digital presence of the company, including website design, user experience, and content creation. Experience with Shopify and Amazon a plus.
- Photography and Video Content: Direct and manage the creation of photo and video content that aligns with our brand’s vision and appeals to our target audience.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with our Director of Branding and Partnerships as well as the Head of Ops and Founder on these workstreams.
- Market Trends: Stay abreast of market trends and consumer preferences to keep our brand relevant and competitive.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Creative Director or similar role, preferably in the textile or fashion industry.
- Ability and willingness to do direct graphic design and content creation work
- Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in product design and brand development.
- Excellent understanding of digital media and e-commerce platforms.
- Adept at photography and video content creation and editing.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexibly and meet tight deadlines.
