Lead Mobile Product Designer

Type of job: Remote
Country: United States
City: Remote in U.S.
Company: BibleProject

Description of the offer

As a Lead Mobile Product Designer, you will partner with a Product Lead, an Engineering Lead, and a team of developers (we call this a “Squad”) to design and deliver mobile experiences that support our mission to help people experience the Bible as a unified story that leads to Jesus.

You will lead discovery activities that help your Squad understand the needs of our audience, and you will develop concepts and prototypes for products and features that address those needs. You’ll move product ideas from loose concepts, to testable prototypes, to high-fidelity assets for developer handoff.

In all your work, you will bring your skills and experience to help further our mission of helping people experience the Bible as a unified story that leads to Jesus.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead discovery activities; interviews, competitive reviews, surveys, and usability studies
  • Synthesize discovery insights and identify new areas for product improvement
  • Develop stories, sketches, wireframes, and prototypes of new product features and ideas
  • Test new product features and ideas with our audience to inform decisions and iterations
  • Deliver well organized design assets to engineers

What We’re Looking For

  • Significant contribution to the design of two or more mobile apps that have been developed and deployed.
  • A portfolio of work examples that demonstrate process and final products
  • Significant experience with mobile design patterns for Android and iOS
  • Experience collaborating with product managers, engineers, and other internal stakeholders
  • Demonstrable experience with team leadership
  • Skilled using modern design tools (e.g., Figma) to produce wireframes,  mockups, and interactive prototypes
