Description of the offer
The Opportunity
Our developer relations team’s mission is to provide the best possible developer experience for our flagship products, Arize AX and Arize Phoenix. You’ll drive value to the business by building authentic relationships with the community at in-person events, writing best-in-class documentation, attention-grabbing open-source demos, blog posts, videos, social content and more. We are expanding the team to improve our geographic coverage, with this role specifically based in the New York metro area.
What You’ll Do
Primary responsibilities
- Build awareness of Arize’s products and our reputation as a thought leader in the space of AI evaluations and observability across every medium: social content, blog posts, videos, and more
- Create a stellar onboarding experience for users of Arize by writing, expanding and polishing our product documentation
- Write tutorials, cookbooks and open-source demonstration repositories that drive users quickly from introduction to value
- Interact directly with our developer community at conferences, trade shows, and local meetups as well online through our community Slack and other channels
- Take feedback from the community and turn it into actionable product insights that shape our open source and commercial product roadmaps
Secondary responsibilities
- Assist our marketing team by providing source material for field marketing and SEO-focused website copy
- Be the first point of contact for community members with product questions, directing them to the appropriate teams and channels
- Collaborate with the Product team to prototype “spikes” for new features and product directions
- Build partnerships with other companies and projects in the space to extend our reach
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in an engineering or equivalently technical dev relations role
- Excellent technical communication skills, both written and verbal, demonstrated by public-facing documentation, blog posts and videos where possible
- Up-to-date engineering skills, ideally but not necessarily demonstrated by open-source demonstrations and cookbooks
- Working knowledge of LLM-based app development e.g. agents, RAG, orchestration frameworks. You do not need to be specifically familiar with Arize.
- A curious and self-motivated continuous learner, comfortable with the ambiguities and rapid iteration of a startup environment
- Willing to attend occasional evening and weekend events in-person either local to your location or (less frequently) within a few hours’ travel time
Bonus Points
- Familiarity with the evaluations and observability space including products like Arize
- Highly engaged in technical communities on forums like X, Reddit, Slack, Discord, Dev.to etc.
- Existing experience running or contributing to open-source projects like Arize Phoenix
The estimated annual salary for this role is between $100,000 – $175,000, plus a competitive equity package.
