Freelance Social Media Community Manager and Content Strategist

At VeraContent, we are looking for a Paris-based content enthusiast who can fill a dual role of:
– Social media content strategy expert for the French market
Mainly Instagram, but also providing support for TikTok.
– Social media community manager for the French market
Instagram and TikTok

*Our client is a global electronics-accessory company.

This role entails:
– Creating and collaborating with the VeraContent team and the client on social media strategy for the French market
– Managing social media content and interacting with users on an ongoing basis
– Analyzing strategy, providing feedback to the VeraContent Project Manager and creating monthly reports

Main tasks:
– Creating and collaborating with the VeraContent team on social media strategy for the French market
– Suggesting effective ways to adapt our client’s social media calendar for the French market, considering local trends, current events, holidays, popular local influencers, etc.
– Scheduling posts throughout the month on Instagram and TikTok
– Managing social media content and interacting with users on an ongoing basis (understanding and adhering to social media best practices)
– Trying out new methods and strategies to grow engagement and follower count, with different content types, campaigns and promotions
– Creating social media content from scratch when necessary (and be in front of the camera)
– Evaluating content performance, creating reports with data-driven insights and providing future recommendations based on them
– Sharing feedback/insights about the community
– Keeping in contact with the client and the VeraContent team on a regular basis

What we’re looking for:
– Native-level French (France). Excellent writing and communication skills in English.
– Be based in Paris with very strong knowledge of societal trends in the French market. An extra bonus is if you have any connections in Paris to influencers or previous experience establishing relationships with them for a brand.
– Understanding of social media best practices for businesses, especially on Instagram and TikTok.
– Able to bring fresh ideas to the account based on knowledge of current trends and how to leverage them
– Able to create content when necessary and occasionally appear in some of the content yourself
– Experience with scheduling posts and using social media management tools such as Later
– Strong time management skills and responsiveness (be able to be in touch with the client and the VeraContent team throughout the day via Slack, and have time for occasional calls)
– Availability to work a minimum of 6-8 hours a week for this project
– Able to create a content calendar including a variety of elements (Feed posts, Stories, Reels) in line with the latest trends
– Flexible working style and ability to adapt to new situations and clients’ changing needs
– Ability to quickly learn new software tools and business processes
– Ability to analyze metrics and provide insights into target audience, content and strategy to increase brand awareness, reach and web traffic
