About the role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Email/SMS Strategist to join our Ecommerce Marketing Agency. As an Email/SMS Strategist, you will be responsible for developing effective email and SMS marketing strategies for our clients, setting strategies for new clients during onboarding, and conducting monthly strategy refreshes.

Initially, this role will be part-time and paid on an hourly basis, but there is potential for it to evolve into a full-time position for the ideal candidate.

We are looking for someone who can work within the US time zone (MST) or have overlapping hours.

Responsibilities:

• Develop email and SMS marketing strategies for clients to drive engagement, conversions, and revenue.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to align email and SMS campaigns with overall marketing goals.
• Conduct thorough research on client industries, target audiences, and competitors to inform strategy development.
• Create compelling and personalized email and SMS content that resonates with target audiences.
• Set up and manage email and SMS automation workflows to optimize customer journeys and maximize results.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and analyze data to measure the effectiveness of email and SMS campaigns.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to ensure our strategies are innovative and cutting-edge.
• Provide strategic guidance to new clients during onboarding, ensuring their email and SMS marketing efforts are set up for success.
• Conduct monthly strategy refreshes for existing clients, incorporating learnings from campaign performance and adjusting strategies as needed.

• Proven experience as an Email/SMS Strategist, preferably in an agency setting.
• In-depth knowledge of email marketing platforms (e.g., MailChimp, Klaviyo) and SMS marketing platforms (e.g., Twilio, ActiveCampaign).
• Strong understanding of email and SMS marketing best practices, including deliverability, segmentation, personalization, and automation.
• Excellent copywriting and communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Proficient in data analysis and comfortable working with metrics and KPIs.
• Ability to think strategically and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently, while also collaborating effectively within a team.
