Orbisk is a start-up with a clear mission: to make the global food system more sustainable. The start-up provides complete insights into the food waste of hospitality organisations. Orbisk does this by offering a smart camera and scale that uses image recognition to register which food is thrown away, when, in what quantity and why, all full automatically. The customer can view this data in the dashboard, which provides insight into food wastage and use this information and advice to reduce it. On average our clients reduce their food waste by 50%, saving tens of thousands of euro’s and co2.


To further shape our growth ambitions, we are looking for an Account Manager who will be responsible for our first steps into the German market. Orbisk focusses on foodservice chains like Hotels, Caterers and Restaurants. Our Sales & Account team is responsible for bringing in new customers. You will be responsible for bringing in new customers and maintaining ongoing relationships. You are not a shrewd seller but work with a consultative mindset and are excited at the idea of maintaining strong customer relationships. Our Customers Success team (based in the Netherlands) is responsible for managing specific active locations and onboarding and you will work closely together with them. When a chain is active, you will be responsible for the contact with HQ and further building the number of active locations within those chains.

Your activities will include:

– Making a sales plan for your market approach

– Proactively approaching prospects via Linkedin, telephone, mail, events or via your network to make (physical) appointments

– Visiting prospects throughout the country

– Closing multi-year deals for our installations with which we structurally help customers to prevent food waste

– Adjusting your KPIs and targets where necessary; you’re at the wheel!

– You have 3-5 years of experience in sales or account management functions

– You have a relevant network and experience in the foodservice market, especially at hotel, restaurant and catering chains

– You have an enormous drive to go the extra mile for the customer every time

– You have experience and get energy from doing acquisition

– You have excellent communication skills in German and English

– You are a self-starter and used to working independently

– You want to work with a product that really makes an impact on organizations and the world
