YAP Media is hiring a Social Media Lead to create one-of-one personal brands for our clientele of Best-Selling Authors, CEOs, and 8-figure Business Owners. You will be responsible for developing a personal brand Strategy for each client on your roster and translating that into a clear, executable content strategy for LinkedIn and Instagram.

We’re looking for a meticulous, creative, and resourceful individual who is passionate about business and professional development content to raise the bar even further for our clients.

This role is the heart of our social media team. Everything flows from the strategies you create. You’ll lead a team of creatives to develop impactful, one-of-one content based on your strategies, ensuring each post positions our clients as unique thought leaders, while also driving key performance metrics like post engagement, followers gained, etc.

There are excellent opportunities for professional development in this role. You will be the go-to person for our high-profile clients and will have the chance to amplify the efforts of established personal brands. You’ll also build new personal brands from the ground up with support from our company’s owners.

Responsibilities

  • Account Ownership. As the ultimate decision maker for their clients, your time will be spent setting strategic direction based on client priorities, reviewing client performance, addressing important client queries, and conducting routine research/analysis to ensure we are at the forefront of innovation for our clients.
  • Account Brand Strategy. Develop, implement, and regularly update comprehensive social media strategies that align with our 1-of-1 content strategy and client goals. This includes conducting routine strategic reviews of client’s media (e.g., books, speeches, interviews) to direct content creation and drive account growth through 1-of-1, novel content that reflects the client’s unique voice and long-term objectives.
  • Client Communications. Provide comprehensive communications with clients, keeping them aware of ongoing efforts on their accounts as well as timely responses regarding any account questions.
  • Team Management. Monthly 1:1’s with engagement specialists, copywriters, and content managers within your team to understand a holistic view of their experience. Weekly check-ins with team members to solve bottlenecks.
  • Research & Analyses. Conduct weekly research into clients’ competitors and industry trends. Analyze social media feeds to identify emerging trends that can be leveraged in client content. Implementation, tracking, and reporting on tests to ensure a current and strong understanding of the social platforms.
  • Campaign Management. Monitor and maintain organic social media campaigns to ensure they are running properly and aligned with client priorities. Ensure that trackers are clean, up-to-date, and accurately reflect ongoing campaign engagement.
  • Team Collaboration. Work closely with social media, creative, and engagement teams to ensure timely, on-brand content creation and engagement, as well as smooth cross-team workflows.
  • Process Improvement. Help execute process improvement initiatives developed by VP of Social.

Results

  • Do not allow any emails or Slack messages to sit unanswered/unacknowledged for more than ½ a business day.
  • 100% of content is sourced from client content, and 90% of content meets the ‘1-of-1 and novel’ criteria as determined by internal quality review.
  • 25% QoQ engagement metric increases, with consistent MoM increases.
  • Research, implement, and report on 4 tests/trends per month.
  • Maintain a client satisfaction rate of 90% or higher, as measured by quarterly client feedback surveys.
  • Efforts per client account are strategic and measured, hitting 95% of KPIs MoM.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of social media strategy experience.
  • 3+ years of copywriting experience.
  • 2+ years of experience managing organic social media efforts for a personal brand (outside of your own).
  • Thorough understanding of LinkedIn and Instagram platforms + algorithms.
  • Must be able to work Eastern (EST) hours.

  • Executive Presence. Clear, concise, confident presentation skills and visual presence that reassure clients of our value and efforts made on their behalf.
