JoinBrands is seeking a highly experienced Senior Backend Developer to design, implement, and maintain the core backend systems that power our platform. This is a full-time, remote role focused on developing and verifying robust API endpoints and backend functionalities that ensure scalability, reliability, and performance.

Responsibilities:
* Develop, verify, and maintain new and existing API endpoints
* Design, review, and optimize backend functionalities for performance and scalability
* Collaborate with frontend and product teams to ensure seamless system integration
* Manage database design, optimization, and data integrity (SQL/NoSQL)
* Ensure backend application security, reliability, and maintainability
* Handle bug fixes, deployments, and performance tuning
* Document backend architecture, changes, and technical decisions

Requirements:
* 5+ years of professional backend development experience
* Strong proficiency in Java, or PHP
* Proven experience designing and building RESTful APIs
* Solid understanding of backend frameworks, databases, and version control (GitLab)
* Strong problem-solving and debugging skills with the ability to work independently
* Excellent written and verbal communication in English
* Security-focused mindset with attention to detail and code quality

Nice to have:
* Experience with cloud platforms and containerization
* Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks
* Experience working in compliance-focused or high-security environments
