Product Designer-Toys

The Product Designer will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and developing innovative and engaging toy products that captivate and inspire the target audience. They will be working closely with cross-functional teams including Product Designers-Advanced design, graphic designers, suppliers, and manufacturers, to bring imaginative ideas to life.

Responsibilities:

• Develop idea-to-shelf toy concepts that align with market trends, brand identity, and target audience preferences.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers, marketers, and manufacturers to refine designs, address technical challenges, and ensure product feasibility and scalability.
• Liaise with suppliers and vendors to obtain and prepare quotes for materials, components, and manufacturing services required for product production (CAD, BOM, specs).
• Provide graphic designers with all the information needed to ensure consistency and clarity in the production of packaging and instruction manuals.
• Apply AI-driven insights and emerging technologies to identify market opportunities, support product innovation, and optimize product development and sourcing strategies.

Qualifications:

• University or college diploma in design or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of design experience in the field of consumer-packaged goods, ideally in the toy industry.
• Proficiency in Illustrator, Photoshop and Excel software. SolidWorks is not required but is a plus.
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment which requires a certain ability to adapt.
• Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a passion for designing products that inspire and delight children.
• Experience in the development of children’s cosmetics, beauty accessories, personal care products, or fashion-related consumer products is an asset but not required
