We’ve built a proprietary livestream platform that transforms passive zoo webcams into immersive, viewer-directed experiences, serving animal fanatics, as well as K-12 teachers and homeschoolers.
With over 1.8 hours of daily time spent per user and partnerships with 20+ ethical zoos, Zoolife is catalyzing this evolving category through Animal Fandom — spanning licensing, advertising, and tourism. Backed by real traction, integrated partnerships, and early believers like Tariq Trotter and Adam Draper, we’re now investing in growth as a core function of the company.
What You’ll Do
As Head of Growth, you’ll be responsible for growing high-quality new signups on Zoolife. Success in this role means scaling users without losing the integrity, heart, and authenticity central to the platform. This newly defined role was created to give dedicated focus to growth—spun out from the Head of Product & Growth position.
As our first dedicated growth hire, you’ll have strategic ownership while operating with a builder’s mindset—rolling up your sleeves to experiment, shape, and own growth. This is a key strategic role focused on top-of-funnel activity, attuned to the community dimension of an engagement-based product. It’s an ideal position for someone who thrives in a creative, metrics-driven environment and wants to help grow a platform that deepens our connection to nature.
Growth & Acquisition
- Own the user growth strategy, from experimentation to execution – to drive a marked increase in high-quality signups
- Design and run growth experiments across zoo partner, paid, organic, SEO, referral, and video distribution channels, with a focus on scalable audience growth
- Use data to inform where to focus and what to scale.
- Deeply understand Zoolife’s core personas, how to reach them, and how to communicate in ways that convert
- Identify and lead distribution collaborations that grow reach (linear & streaming networks, education platforms, mission-aligned communities, and influencers)
- Leadership & Teamwork
- Collaborate cross-functionally with content, zoo partnerships, and product teams to align growth initiatives with platform roadmap
- Manage freelance resources and budget to efficiently execute growth projects as needed
- Surface audience insights that inform monetization and strategic direction, including pricing, feature gating, user segmentation, and zoo partner positioning
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years in a growth or marketing role at a consumer tech, media, or mission-driven startup
- Proven track record of growing audiences through designing and running growth experiments across paid, organic, and SEO
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to prioritize, evaluate traffic quality, and scale what works
- Skilled in audience segmentation and tailoring messaging that resonates across personas and funnel stages
- Confident managing freelancers and budgets, with ability to scope, brief, and review creative work
- Experienced working cross-functionally with content, product, and design
- Experience with engagement- or content-based platforms
- Excitement to build for animal lovers and educators—and to grow something meaningful in the nature and wildlife space
