Our Client in the Financial Industry is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Manager, Digital Messaging & Campaign Execution to be the expert front-end developer responsible for designing, developing, and executing all digital advertising and customer communications within key digital channels (Mobile Banking, Online Portals, ABM) and Email.
You will be instrumental in all design and publishing activities related to digital engagement, adoption, and sales, acting as the subject matter expert on digital design principles and ensuring consistent incorporation of global best practices. This role requires an intense focus on detail to ensure customer-facing messaging and communications are flawless and consistently convey a professional and superior brand standard. You’ll support key stakeholders, leveraging your expertise in modern web technology and design software to enhance digital sales and user experience.
This is a 12-month contract role that is remote within Canada, with a preference for candidates operating in the Eastern Time Zone.
Responsibilities
- Support key internal partners with all activities related to digital campaign design and publishing, digital user experience, and digital sales initiatives.
- Utilize HTML and CSS to develop new and existing campaign creative for the digital space, focusing on large-scale email marketing campaigns and authenticated channel campaigns.
- Use design software like Adobe Photoshop, Figma, and Sketch to perform necessary, last-minute changes to art files.
- Troubleshoot and adjust problematic code from other marketing vendors and provide constructive feedback.
- Execute and adhere to quality control procedures and workback schedules for all campaigns, ensuring adherence to campaign timelines.
- Manage lead times with marketing partners and other key stakeholders to ensure the timely receipt of all design and data points.
- Configure dynamic content elements to create personalized campaigns at scale.
- Perform initial quality assurance to ensure campaign logic is functional and that campaigns render correctly on various client/browser combinations.
- Conduct competitive research and identify best practices for coding architecture and user experiences.
- Provide design recommendations backed by statistical evidence and research.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with relevant CASL, anti-spam, and privacy regulations.
- Make continuous improvements to the digital campaign execution process based on test results and key learnings.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Front-End Developer or similar role.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience with front-end frameworks and libraries such as React, Angular, or Vue.js is a strong asset.
- Strong understanding of email/web development principles and best practices.
- Experience creating and editing emails for delivery with marketing platforms like Responsys, Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO), Adobe Campaign, or Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
- Relevant experience coding emails, including knowledge of responsive design for mobile.
- Experience in marketing design, designing advertising and customer communications in an online environment.
- Experienced user of Adobe Creative Cloud and solid experience working with Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Figma, Sketch, and/or animated GIFs is a plus.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Strong understanding of email tools like Litmus and Movable Ink.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a keen eye for aesthetics.
- Strong communication, organizational, and decision-making skills with the ability to work calmly in high-pressure situations.
- Comfortable prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects with a sense of urgency.
- HTML, CSS accreditation, or a four-year degree (Marketing, Design, or related field preferred).
- Fluent written and spoken English; French language skills are preferred.
