Responsibilities
- Cultivate a welcoming, engaged developer community around the platform.
- Manage GitHub issues, pull requests, and contributor onboarding processes.
- Write and maintain developer-facing documentation, contribution guides, and changelogs.

- Grow partnerships with agencies, implementers, and institutional tech teams.
Requirements
- Familiarity with the WordPress development ecosystem.
- Strong written communication skills, especially in developer-facing documentation.
- Experience managing or participating in open source projects.
- Comfortable with GitHub workflows, markdown, and basic code review processes.
- Strong organizational skills; able to manage multiple communication channels and priorities.
Nice to Have
- Prior experience as a developer advocate, community manager, or open-source project lead.
- Experience with higher ed, nonprofits, or mission-driven tech.

PS. There is only one question to answer when you apply for this job. Please answer it honestly and completely. You will not be considered for this role without a detailed answer to that question. Further, if there is anything you’d like us to know about you that isn’t in your resume, add it there.
