About Pika
Pika is building creative tools that let anyone generate and edit video with AI. We’re a small, fast-moving team working at the intersection of AI, media, and product, shipping features used by millions of creators.
The Role
We’re looking for a backend engineer to help build the core systems behind Pika’s creative platform. You’ll own product logic, scale backend services, and work closely with product, infra, and ML teams to turn cutting-edge ideas into reliable user experiences.
What You’ll Do:
- Design and build scalable backend services powering web & mobile products
- Own core product logic (not just APIs)
- Work across the stack with product, infra, and ML engineers
- Build internal tools that accelerate iteration and experimentation
- Make architectural decisions that directly impact creators
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong backend experience (Python, Go, or similar)
- Experience building production systems used by real users
- Comfort operating in ambiguity and moving fast
- Startup mindset: ownership, pragmatism, curiosity
Bonus: experience with media pipelines, distributed systems, or ML-adjacent products
