Digital Marketing Contractor — Impossible Corners by Wonder Machines

Wonder Machines is a studio dedicated to creating kinetic art and optical illusions that captivate and inspire. Led by artist and engineer Jeff Lieberman, the studio is best known for Slow Dance, a mesmerizing frame that creates slow-motion effects, and Impossible Corners, viral optical illusion decals with over 500 million social media views in the past year.

Now we need someone to turn that viral energy into a paid acquisition engine and build the full customer journey around it.

The gig

Own paid growth and the conversion pipeline for Impossible Corners — a visual, giftable DTC product in the $25–50 range. You’ll run the campaigns, test relentlessly, scale what works, and build out the email flows that catch everyone the ads miss. This is a 7-month contractor engagement with the goal of hitting hard through Q4 and the potential to become ongoing.

You’d be working directly with the founder. No layers, no committees. We move fast.

What you’d do

Paid acquisition:

  • Build and run structured creative testing campaigns on Meta/Instagram — iterating on winners, killing losers, managing spend
  • Help produce ad creative from existing raw footage and assets — editing, formatting, and iterating on what works
  • Identify and license existing viral content featuring the product — outreach to creators, negotiate usage rights, manage whitelisting
  • Track and report on performance weekly — ROAS, CAC, spend, revenue, creative performance

Full conversion pipeline:

  • Set up and optimize the path from ad to purchase — landing pages, product page, checkout
  • Build out abandoned cart, welcome, and post-purchase email flows in Klaviyo

Strategy and scaling:

  • Develop a documented plan to hit $300K+ in revenue
  • Long-term creative and budget planning to scale aggressively for Q4 holiday sales
  • Experiment with secondary channels (Google, Amazon) based on data

Bonus scope:

  • Source, brief, and manage influencer/UGC partnerships — gifted seeding and paid collaborations

What we’re looking for

  • You’ve scaled paid social for a physical DTC product in the $15–75 range. You have the data to prove it.
  • You think in creative testing frameworks, not audience hacks.
  • You can show a real Meta Ads Manager dashboard — not a case study PDF, real numbers.
  • You can help produce and iterate on ad creative — cutting raw footage, testing hooks, formatting for different placements.
  • You’re comfortable building Klaviyo email flows — or have done it before.
  • You work independently. Weekly updates, no hand-holding needed.

Compensation

Fixed monthly retainer plus profit sharing tied to revenue growth. This is designed so that when you win, we both win. If you’re confident in your skills, this structure should excite you.

Ad spend budget (funded by us, managed by you)

  • Starting: ~$4,000/month
  • Scaling: up to $10,000/month as conversions justify
  • Q4 peak: up to $50,000/month

The targets

  • Month 1: Pipeline fully operational — tracking, pixel, campaigns, Klaviyo flows, reporting. First creative tests running.
  • Month 3: 4x ROAS on paid campaigns. Documented plan to $300K+ revenue.
  • Month 5: Approaching $300K+ in revenue. Proven campaign structures and creative pipeline ready to scale for Q4 holiday spend.
