Role Summary
The Web Developer is responsible for building and maintaining websites for their brands clients. Primary duties include conceptualizing and implementing creative ideas for client websites, as well as creating visual elements that are in line with our clients’ branding.
Responsibilities
- Translate client-selected layouts, onboarding inputs, and project requirements into structured website builds.
- Retrieve and organize client and vendor-supplied assets for implementation.
- Apply visual judgment within WordPress templates (e.g., Divi) to design websites that align with brand standards and conversion goals.
- Select and integrate relevant, high-quality stock imagery and graphics to enhance visual storytelling and patient engagement.
- Incorporate optical-specific assets such as frame brand logos and promotional content into landing pages where appropriate.
- Develop and customize WordPress websites using Divi and other frameworks to meet client specifications.
- Use HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to refine layouts, enhance interactivity, and improve overall user experience.
- Ensure full mobile responsiveness and cross-device compatibility for all websites.
- Implement on-page SEO best practices to support search visibility and patient acquisition.
- Execute pre-launch edits and revisions based on client and internal feedback.
- Perform ongoing website updates, content changes, and optimizations in response to client requests.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of high-level web development and web design experience.
- BS in Web development or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in WordPress CMS.
- Proficiency in front-end development web programming languages including HTML and CSS, and JavaScript.
- Excellent visual design skills.
- Good understanding of content management systems.
- Good understanding of search engine optimization principles, with completed coursework or certification in SEMRush or Google Digital Garage a plus.
- Good understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues.
- High attention to detail, reviews own work prior to handing off to other team members for internal review.
- Up-to-date experience with international web protocols, standards, and technologies, with completed coursework or certification in front-end web development a plus.
- Creative and open to new ideas.
- Adaptable and willing to learn new techniques.
- Excellent communication skills.
