Description of the offer

The Portfolio & Platform Operations Manager is responsible for end-to-end operational execution across portfolio support, platform activation, and ecosystem engagement at The Venture Build.

This role serves as the central operating layer between founders, advisors, investors, partners, and internal platform stakeholders. The individual ensures that once a founder or company is engaged with TVB, they are onboarded effectively, connected to the right platform resources, and supported through measurable outcomes.

This is a highly cross-functional role focused on execution, coordination, and follow-through, not deal sourcing or investing.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Portfolio Onboarding & Engagement Operations

Own the onboarding process for newly engaged portfolio companies

Capture company context, priority objectives, and key success milestones

Translate engagement goals into a structured 30–60–90 day execution plan

Act as the primary operational point of contact for portfolio companies

1. Platform Activation & Ecosystem Access

Coordinate access to platform resources, including:

Advisors and operators

Investors and capital partners

Enterprise and channel partners

Service and ecosystem partners

Prepare context-rich introduction briefs to ensure high-quality engagements

Schedule and track all platform-driven interactions

Ensure early “time-to-value” for portfolio companies

1. Relationship & Outcome Tracking

Maintain structured tracking of:

Introductions made

Follow-ups and touchpoints

Engagement status

Outcomes (meetings, pilots, partnerships, fundraising progress)

Proactively manage open loops and stalled engagements

Escalate issues and opportunities to platform leadership

Provide regular visibility into portfolio and platform activity

1. Platform Programs, Events & Cross-Team Coordination

Support platform-led initiatives such as:

Founder roundtables

Investor sessions

Partner showcases

Convert event participation into actionable portfolio engagements

Coordinate closely with sourcing, partnerships, and leadership teams to ensure seamless handoffs

SUCCESS METRICS

Speed from onboarding to first meaningful outcome

Portfolio satisfaction and engagement quality

Conversion rate of platform introductions into tangible results

Accuracy and reliability of portfolio tracking

Internal platform efficiency and coordination

IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE

Experience in venture capital, accelerators, startups, or ecosystem roles

Strong operational discipline and stakeholder management skills

Comfortable working across founders, investors, and partners

Highly organized with strong follow-through

Clear communicator with sound judgment

Ability to manage multiple portfolio engagements in parallel
