Your Role
As a core engineer at Skip, you’ll help build and scale products used by millions of entrepreneurs. You’ll work closely with the founder, product, and design to take ideas from concept to production — shipping fast, learning from real users, and owning meaningful parts of the product.

Some of the work you’ll do will involve intelligent and AI-powered features, but the foundation is strong engineering, product thinking, and a bias toward action.

What You’ll Do

• Build and ship end-to-end product features used by real small business owners.
• Work across the stack: React / Next.js, Node.js, TypeScript, Postgres, and Supabase.
• Collaborate directly with product and design to turn ideas into shipped features.
• Rapidly prototype, test, and iterate — we move fast and value learning over perfection.
• Contribute to systems that personalize the Skip experience based on business context, usage, and goals.
• Take ownership: you’ll see problems, propose solutions, and ship them.

About You

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong with TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks (React / Next.js preferred).
• Comfortable working across frontend and backend, even if you lean one way.
• Curious and adaptable — excited to learn new tools and systems over time (including AI).
• Motivated by impact: you want your work to meaningfully help real people.
• Clear communicator in English and comfortable working with a distributed team across the Americas.

Experience with AI, LLMs, or data-driven systems is a plus — not a requirement.

Compensation

• Base Salary: $60,000–$80,000 USD equivalent (paid in USD or BRL)
• Equity: 0.10%–0.40% — meaningful, because you’re building Skip’s future.
• Plus: paid time off, remote work, and the chance to grow with a company that’s taking off.

Compensation is calibrated by experience, role scope, and location. We care more about impact and ownership than titles.
