About the role:

We are looking for various Senior Backend Engineers to take significant ownership in building Monte Carlo’s cloud service, data pipelines and ML platform. The role will involve end-to-end development: from helping formulate requirements to full production implementation. You will be collaborating with a small team of seasoned engineers in a fast-moving startup environment.

Anywhere in the Americas

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

• Building production-grade backend services and APIs to delight customers
• Owning major projects from inception to deployment, shipping at a rapid pace
• Architecting simple yet flexible solutions, and then scaling them as we grow

We’re excited about you because you have:

• 5+ years of experience delivering production-grade backend services required
• Mastery of Python or an equivalent backend technology required
• Experience with PySpark preferred
• Familiarity with AWS technologies preferred
• Experience building and scaling distributed architectures required
• Experience building data pipelines preferred
• Sense of urgency, ownership mindset, and customer focus required
