Now, we’re hiring our first dedicated design leader — someone who will shape the future of Battalion’s product and brand from day one.

The Role

As our Design Lead, you’ll be the driving force behind Battalion’s design practice. You’ll design end-to-end web and mobile experiences in Figma, establish a scalable design system, and craft the visual language that defines our brand.

This is a hands-on role with leadership scope: you’ll create the designs yourself today, while also setting the standards, principles, and processes that future designers will follow. You’ll work closely with product, engineering, and leadership to bring clarity to complex problems and advocate for solutions that serve our users best — even when that means pushing back on ideas that don’t work.

What You’ll Do

• Design intuitive, beautiful experiences for web and mobile in Figma.
• Build and maintain a design system that anchors both product and brand.
• Partner with product and engineering to deliver high-impact features, end-to-end.
• Serve as the voice of design in product strategy discussions.
• Champion usability and accessibility, making complex workflows simple.
• Establish design processes, documentation, and culture that scale as the team grows.

What We’re Looking For

• 5–8+ years of product design experience, with strong web + mobile case studies in your portfolio.
• Proven ability to build or scale a design system.
• Comfortable working independently and making decisions in a fast-moving startup.
• Strong communicator, able to influence and push back when needed.
• Bonus: experience in fintech, proptech, or B2B SaaS.
