ABOUT DURANTA & WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Bailiff is a legal ai-tech platform that reads court filings, extracts deadlines, and syncs them to law firm calendars. We’re past prototype and entering a live beta with firms.

  The Role

  You’ll help take Bailiff from beta to robust production: improve and maintain the platform, lead new features tied to the core extraction/ calendaring workflow, expand calendar integrations beyond Google and Outlook, manage AI model integrations, and keep the user-facing experience clean and simple. You’ll work directly with the founders and have significant room to grow.

  What You’ll Do

  • Ship features across the stack: APIs, services, and a lightweight React UI.
  • Integrate, harden, and monitor AI/LLM pipelines for document parsing and deadline extraction.
  • Extend calendar integrations to additional providers and practice platforms.
  • Own deployment, observability, and reliability in a modern cloud environment.
  • Help shape quality, security, and coding standards as usage scales.

  Requirements

  • Hands-on with LLM APIs like Claude and practical text/OCR tooling.
  • Proactive mindset: scope clearly, take ownership of tasks, communicate crisply, and iterate.

  Nice to Have

  • Legal tech or doc-automation experience.
  • Event/ calendaring APIs beyond Google/Outlook
  • Basic ML engineering
  • Security-minded development for sensitive documents.
