The AI Engineer is an exciting role focused on expanding our AI solutions for processing documents, answering credit policy questions, and ensuring regulatory compliance. You will join a highly talented team of AI and Data Engineers and Scientists who support you with API service layers, Business Databases, ETLs, and loan origination microservices with decades of software engineering and real estate experience.

We prioritize candidates with prior experience in software engineering, AI agent development, framework tools like Langchain, and general Machine Learning projects. Experience in financial and real estate domains will also be highly useful in this role. We are looking for AI Engineers who will think critically about systems reliability, inspiring trust from non-technical stakeholders, and staying on top of developments in the field.

You will work with a distributed team with members in New York, California, and Washington. The successful candidate will report to the AI Engineering Manager, based remotely in California. Our company cannot offer visa sponsorship for any roles at this time.

Requirements

An ideal candidate can demonstrate previous success in:

• Python-centered development
• Building AI agents, or applications on top of Gen AI solutions
• High scores in math coursework involving Linear Algebra, Statistics, or Econometrics
• Quantitatively comparing model performance and explaining the tradeoffs between them in particular problems to technical and business audiences
• Building lightweight front ends to demonstrate the functionality and visualize performance of their applications, such as with React or Jupyter notebooks
• Strong knowledge of version control and Git commands
• Using the AWS suite of products, particularly for serverless and automated workflows
• Designing experiments
• Cross-functional working relationships with engineers and non-technical stakeholders

The person who joins our team should also be excited to:

• Surfacing analytics insights to users across multiple interfaces (Blog, internal apps, external-facing APIs)
• Best-in-class tools for automating tasks in our financial technology platform
• Supporting economics research in real estate and housing
