Our system is a sophisticated orchestration of advanced LLMs, thousands of integrations, computer use capabilities, flexible trigger systems, and elegant abstractions that make complex automation feel like magic.

We’re looking for a staff-level software engineer to share the technical leadership of our core agent infrastructure alongside our founding team. This is an opportunity to architect systems that will automate millions of business processes and define what’s possible at the cutting edge with AI agents.

This is a leadership role intended for a truly exceptional candidate.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical development for major components of Tasklet’s core agent infrastructure, including the agent runner, computer resources, trigger systems, and integration framework.
• Architect solutions to complex problems like multi-step agent orchestration, compaction, error recovery, state management across triggers, seamless integration with thousands of APIs, etc.
• Push the boundaries of what’s possible with AI agents, integrating cutting-edge model capabilities as they emerge.
• Define abstractions that enable the entire team to ship sophisticated automation features rapidly and reliably.
• Own the end-to-end reliability and performance of our system, ensuring users can trust their automations to run flawlessly.
• Collaborate closely with the founders to shape technical direction and product strategy.
• Step up to solve challenges wherever needed—this is a startup, and we’re all in it together!

Qualifications

• Exceptional programming skills with the versatility to contribute across the entire stack, in whatever language or framework is needed (we use Typescript, React, GCP, Kubernetes, Claude…).
• Proven technical leadership: You’ve led the development of systems that really matter at cutting-edge tech companies. You know how to start projects & move them forward, including rallying teammates to follow your lead.
• Experience building AI agents: You’ve built agentic systems using state-of-the-art techniques.
• Experience building real-world production systems: You have 5+ years of experience building & operating relevant, complex, production-scale systems. You know how a system like ours operates and can break it down into manageable sub-problems.
• Excellent communications skills & a passionate for delivering exceptional products that users love.
