Role Overview

• Position: Retail and E-commerce Professional – Independent Contractor, Remote
• Commitment: 15–25 hours/week, flexible up to 40 hours/week
• Duration: 1–2 months
• Support high-impact projects with leading AI labs. Contribute to evaluating and refining AI systems for retail and e-commerce.

Responsibilities

• Review AI-generated category strategies, pricing tests, and promotional frameworks
• Provide structured feedback on merchandising, P&L ownership, vendor management, and inventory optimization
• Evaluate AI recommendations on marketplace growth, affiliate marketing, and ROI measurement
• Stress-test AI outputs on supply chain logistics, SKU rationalization, and omni-channel execution
• Tag and organize content by retail function (category management, merchandising, e-commerce operations, supply chain)
• Support benchmarking to assess AI capabilities in retail and e-commerce contexts

Requirements / Qualifications

Must-Have Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in retail, category management, merchandising, supply chain, or e-commerce operations
• Track record of owning P&L, leading vendor negotiations, and executing category/merchandising strategies
• Degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or a related field (Bachelor’s minimum; MBA preferred)
• Familiarity with tools and data sources used in retail operations (Shopify, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Mintel, Nielsen/IRI, 84.51°, or equivalent)
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
• Ability to deliver structured, actionable feedback on retail strategies and operational execution

Engagement Details

• Start Date: Immediate
• Compensation: $40–$80 USD/hr, competitive hourly rate based on experience
• Contract Type: Independent contractor
• Schedule: Fully remote and asynchronous – flexible working hours
• Payment: Daily via Stripe Connect
