Skip is at a major inflection point having grown 5x revenue over the past 12 months with low eight-figure revenue (> $10M ARR) and 1M+ entrepreneurs on the platform. We’ve released major AI tools and Skip Cofounder and Skip AI Agents – the AI tools and the AI assistants small business owners need. It feels like Day 1 and we want to be the company that helps the world’s entrepreneurs adapt and embrace AI to help fuel their businesses.

We’re entering our next major chapter: an in-person, high-tempo build cycle in NYC to ship AI tools for the 99.9% of world’s businesses—and the hundreds of millions who want to become entrepreneurs. What you’ll do (scope flexes by experience)

• Ship end-to-end features: prototype → prod in weeks (not months).
• Build AI experiences (business plans, funding copilots, RAG search, valuations) that real users rely on.
• Own meaningful product surfaces and move metrics (activation, retention, revenue).
• Work in person with the founder, design, and a small senior team—tight feedback loops, fast decisions.
• Raise the bar on craft: performance, reliability, clean UX, thoughtful DX.

Our stack

• TypeScript, React/Next.js, Node.js, Postgres (pgvector), Redis, Firebase, Stripe, Vercel/AWS. AI: OpenAI/Claude, retrieval evals, embeddings, vector search.

What success looks like (first 30 days)

• Ship a user-facing AI feature to production and prove it with a clear metric uplift.
• Stand up or improve a retrieval pipeline (quality, evals, latency).
• Improve web app performance/reliability (LCP/TTFB, error budget, basic SLOs).

Compensation & setup

• Competitive salary + meaningful equity (scope-dependent; we calibrate for early-career through senior).
• In-person flexibility as we build the NYC team, starting 2-3 days per week
• PTO, flexibility when needed, fast growth path.
