Role Overview
As our Founding Engineer, you’ll architect and implement the initial wave of core systems that power our personalized medicine practices, reporting directly to our Co-Founder and CTO. You’ll have the opportunity to solve complex technical challenges at the intersection of AI and healthcare while helping shape our technical strategy and product direction.

What You’ll Be Working On

• Develop our full-stack TypeScript clinical application using NextJS
• Build and optimize AI agents that assist clinicians with patient analysis, care planning, and medical research
• Implement secure integrations with health records, scheduling, and telemedicine systems
• Drive technical decisions around AI architecture, model selection, and deployment strategies
• Provide feedback and ideas to improve specific procedures, tech implementations, and day-to-day operations to the rest of the team
• Fostering an environment of continuous learning, improvement, and excellence

Who We’re Looking For

• A Software Engineer with 5+ years of experience, some of which at high-growth, early-stage startups.
• Strong expertise in TypeScript and React. You’re proficient in NextJS. You’ve built snappy, performant NextJS apps.
• You’ve played around and prototyped (and maybe even shipped) LLM applications and AI agents
• You’re a forward-thinker who enjoys living curiously.
• You learn quickly, move fast, thrive in ambiguity, and fill in the gaps.
• You have a solutions-oriented mindset. You put ideas into action with little oversight.
• You possess extreme attention to detail and an eye for design and taste.
• You have a proven ability to work in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment and lead complex initiatives.
• You’re using AI to 10x your dev work. You’ve dabbled with Copilot, Cursor, Windsurf, etc.

Nice-To-Haves

• You have shipped production LLM applications and AI agents.
• Experienced with LLMOps and RAG/agent production deployment.
• Experience with healthcare applications: HIPAA compliance and healthcare data security
• You’ve worked with the FHIR/HL7 healthcare standards.
• You’re familiar with the functional medicine and personalized healthcare space.
