Role Highlights

• Design, implement, advance cloud-native architecture on Google Cloud Platform
• Build and optimize computer vision pipelines using OpenCV and deep learning frameworks
• Develop scalable infrastructure for processing real-time data
• Work directly with founders to shape product vision and technical direction
• Implement AI-based processing models to enhance our product capabilities
• Cloud Infrastructure: Architect and optimize our Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure, including VMs, Kubernetes, APIs, and serverless functions
• Design data pipelines for processing, analyzing, and storing visual data at scale
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the CTO, mobile developers, and product team to implement new features and optimize workflows

Technical Requirements

• Required: Google Cloud Platform (GCP) expertise with at least (5+ years experience)
• Required: Advanced Python programming (5+ years experience)
• Required: OpenCV and computer vision algorithms (3+ years experience)
• Required: Kubernetes/Docker containerization experience (3+ years experience)
• Required: Experience with TensorFlow or PyTorch for computer vision applications
• Required: Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Pulumi, or similar)
• Strong background in API development and microservices architecture
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Database design and optimization (SQL and NoSQL)
• Security best practices for cloud infrastructure
• Monitoring, logging, and debugging of distributed systems
• Must be authorized to work in the US (no visa sponsorship available)

Preferred Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science, AI, or related field
• GCP Professional Cloud Architect or Data Engineer certification
• AWS experience as secondary cloud provider
• Experience with real-time processing in cloud environments
• Contributions to open-source computer vision or cloud projects
• Startup experience or technical leadership roles
• Experience with model training and inference pipelines
• Knowledge of cost optimization strategies for cloud resources
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
