Staff software engineer

Despite enormous growth in awareness and investment in data security, most companies still don’t know where they’re storing sensitive information and how to secure it. At Teleskope, we’re building a modern and developer-friendly data security platform to automate data security and privacy at scale, from detection to remediation.

About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced Staff Software Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will join a high-performing team of engineers and contribute to the development of core Teleskope products and features.

What you’ll do

• Build end-to-end, user-facing features that power the Teleskope platform
• Work closely with product designers and company leadership to translate business requirements and designs into functional code
• Troubleshoot and debug complex systems at scale

About you

• 10+ years of experience as an engineer
• Strong ability to positively influence engineering culture and mentor junior engineers
• Solid back-end development skills, preferably in Golang
• Skilled at front-end development in TypeScript / React
• Well-versed in relational databases, SQL, and schema design
• Experienced scaling in both cloud infrastructure and code
• Must be based in NYC (we work hybrid, in-office Tue/Wed/Thu)
