Founded by Mark Manson (20M+ readers of The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F***) and Raj Singh (100M+ users on last AI product, acquired by Revinate), Purpose is built for people chasing meaning in a noisy world.

We’re launching in a few months to Mark’s massive audience. The product blends personalized AI coaching, habit-building, and emotional intelligence assessments in a way that feels more like a meaningful conversation than an app.

What You’ll Do
• Architect & scale AWS serverless, Postgres, and third-party APIs (Clerk, Stripe, LLM pipelines).
• Ship growth levers (referrals, feature flags, pricing tests) in tight collaboration with product.
• Build world-class observability—OpenTelemetry traces, dashboards, anomaly alerts.
• Fortify for SOC 2 with IaC, secrets management, automated chaos drills.
• Mentor engineers and champion our “measure-everything, ship-fast” culture.

✅ You Bring
• 5+ yrs building and running consumer back-ends at 100 K+ MAU scale.
• Fluency in TypeScript plus comfort in Python micro-services.
• Proven track record with cloud auth, payments, and analytics SDKs.
• Observability first—Datadog, Honeycomb, Grafana are second nature.
• Bias toward shipping today, learning tomorrow, and documenting the path.

Bonus
• RAG skills.
• React Native performance tuning (Hermes, Expo EAS).
• Experience steering SOC 2 Type II to completion.
