What is Soundmap?

Soundmap is a gamified social app for music fans. We have 400k+ DAUs, 4m+ lifetime downloads, and we are consistently top 10 in the iOS music game chart. We have product market fit. We want to be THE PLACE for all music fans.

Your Role – Fullstack Engineer

We are looking for an exceptional and passionate Full Stack Engineer to join us. You’ll have the opportunities to ship to millions of users from day 1. You’ll have significant ownership of Soundmap and the future of our Studios. This role has the potential to evolve into a co-founder responsibility and title.

As the Founding Engineer, you will:

• For Soundmap:
  • Build end-to-end features and ship them every week to all our users!
  • Scale and optimize our existing backend infrastructure
  • Build internal tools we use for operations
• For Studios:
  • Lead, manage, and hire the future of our technical team
  • Shape product roadmap for Soundmap and future titles
  • Build weekend MVPs for new concepts

Ideal backgrounds are:

• Substantial experience with React Native, Node.js, Typescript, PostgreSQL, GCP
• 3+ years experience shipping in the consumer space
• Must have STRONG product sense
• Must love MUSIC and GAMING
• (+) Launched consumer apps on your own in the past
• (+) Prior startup experiences and leading a technical team
