WedLuxe, an established luxury wedding media brand and design agency is looking for a talented, creative, and trend-aware Graphic Designer to join the team.

Above all, this position requires a detail-oriented designer with a pretty, feminine design sensibility.

We’re in the business of marketing luxury wedding professionals and hotels and resorts through content marketing. We reach over a million people a year with print magazines, digital and social channels and WedLuxe-branded events. Through our agency division, we also provide award-winning graphic design and content creation services for clients including event professionals, five-star hotels and tourism boards.

Our ideal team member enjoys the idea of being immersed in the world of luxury weddings from around the world (obviously!) and most importantly, will have an innate ability to adapt and further develop the WedLuxe brand aesthetic. Your professional portfolio (or personal design projects) should showcase your expertise and appreciation for typography and clearly prove you’ve got a trendhunter personality that loves to do a visual deep-dive into pop culture, fashion, floral, interior design, art and design from historical eras. In broad strokes, we hope to find a fellow design aficionado with a penchant for pretty things!

If this sounds like you, you’re comfortable conceptualizing or designing beautiful moodboards, social media graphics, real wedding layouts, coffee table books, monograms, brand kits, or websites (using platforms like Showit or Squarespace).

Written communication skills are a BIG part of this job because most of what you design requires extra attention to spelling and the ability to describe your concepts with words in addition to your visuals. We’re a small, but mighty team so you should enjoy working in a boutique team environment where everyone is required to self-manage their time while demonstrating excellent customer service skills and a team-player attitude. Client-facing communication and natural customer service skills are also important.

REQUIREMENTS

• Feminine, luxurious design style and sensibility
• 3-5 years of hands-on professional design experience (or, if you’re a new grad, create a portfolio of pretty samples to show us you’re ready for the challenge!)
• Comfortable presenting ideas and designs to coworkers or clients
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in graphic design from a recognized program
• Well organized, responsible, and dedicated with the ability to work on multiple projects at one time and deliver refined designs in a short time
• Great time management skills
• Deadline driven
• Website design experience whether it’s from SHOWIT, Squarespace, Webflow or WordPress
• Understanding of print production
• Extremely detailed and accuracy-oriented
• Able to receive constructive criticism in design critiques
• Proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator
• Canva skills (who would have guessed Canva could be a tool for real designers, but we love it!)
• Demonstrated awareness of the principles of excellent typography
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

SALARY RANGE:

$50,000 to $70,000, Dependent on level of experience and range of skills.
