Now, we’re expanding the GTO Wizard universe with PlayMode — a new product aimed at bridging gameplay and learning. PlayMode is a fast, fun, and educational way to play poker that brings casual players into the world of GTO strategy through heads-up matches, beautiful design, real-time feedback, and ranking systems. Built for both desktop and iOS, it’s where poker becomes addictive and insightful.

About the role

We’re seeking a Senior Product (UX/UI) Designer to help shape the visual and interactive identity of PlayMode. You’ll play a central role in making PlayMode delightful to use — whether that’s by streamlining post-game analysis, making matches feel exciting, or ensuring the interface looks and feels beautiful across platforms.

This is not a traditional SaaS dashboard design job. You’ll be designing game-like flows, mobile-optimized gameplay, and interactive feedback systems that guide beginners and challenge advanced players. You’ll collaborate closely with product, engineering, and game design to create a seamless, engaging, and smart experience.

In this role, you will:

• Create wireframes, prototypes, and do iterations to define game screens, flows, and learning moments.
• Design interfaces that works on both desktop and mobile, feel playful, responsive, and educational.
• Collaborate on visual direction — from animations and UI motion to iconography and in-game HUDs.
• Conduct lightweight user research and testing to validate and iterate on designs.
• Work with devs to ensure pixel-perfect implementation in both web and mobile apps.
• Contribute to and evolve a flexible design system for PlayMode that balances brand consistency with gameplay creativity.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has a strong eye for detail and a creative edge — able to make functional things feel fun.
• Thrives in fast-moving environments and is comfortable with lean processes.
• Enjoys solving interaction challenges with elegant, clever solutions.
• Understands how to design for both casual gamers and power users.
• Has experience designing responsive interfaces and mobile-first UIs.
• Is curious about learning tools, behavioral design, or poker (even if you’re new to it).

What you bring:

• Proven experience across the full product design lifecycle, ideally in gaming, ed-tech, or interactive apps.
• A portfolio showcasing strong UI and interaction design across both desktop and mobile platforms.
• Native in Figma 🙂
• An eye for a beautiful, balanced design
• Bonus: experience with animations/microinteractions or design for gamified products.
• Bonus: understanding or curiosity about poker and GTO concepts.
