About the Role
As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll play a key role to scale our VAULT product that serves over 100,000 daily users. You’ll architect systems, mentor engineers, and set the bar for quality—while staying hands-on with code. You’ll work across backend, frontend, and mobile, balancing new feature development with production support. Salary is based on experience.

What You’ll Do
• Lead, architect, and implement scalable backend and frontend (web and mobile) features for our serverless subscription management platform, building on AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, SQS/Step Functions) with React and React Native.
• Design and optimize data flows with Redis, Neptune (graph), and Postgres.
• Lead code reviews, set testing standards, and de-risk projects with design docs and prototypes.
• Document and integrate REST/GraphQL APIs; develop webhooks and vendor integrations (OAuth, SAML, SOAP, enterprise APIs).
• Develop and run automated QA: functional, performance, security, and cross-browser tests using Jest, Playwright, Detox.
• Support production systems and deploy hotfixes with rapid turnaround (3–8 hours).
• Partner with product and design to shape milestones and deliver iteratively.
• Add monitoring and reliability goals, troubleshoot production issues, and ship through CI/CD pipelines.
• Use AI tools (including GitHub Copilot) to accelerate development, testing, and documentation.

What You’ll Bring
• 6+ years building production systems in Node.js/TypeScript and React.
• 5+ years backend serverless development (AWS Lambda, API Gateway).
• 5+ years React and React Native experience.
• 3+ years working with graph databases (e.g., Neptune).
• Strong Redis and API design skills.
• CI/CD and automated testing expertise.
• Comfortable using GitHub Copilot and other AI tools.
• Customer-first mindset and ability to challenge unclear requirements.

Nice to have
• Experience with enterprise authentication systems (OIDC, SAML, Cognito).
• High-volume systems (1M+ hits/hour).
• Emergency production support and hotfix deployment experience.
• Infrastructure-as-code (CDK, Terraform), performance profiling, or advanced monitoring.
