Base salary range $160-$180k + equity

In this Senior Software Engineer role you will:

• Architect, develop, deploy, and maintain mission-critical enterprise web applications with high availability
• Collaborate with CEO and Head of Engineering to define technical roadmaps, implement system architecture patterns, and establish engineering best practices
• Partner with aerospace and defense sector clients within AWS GovCloud environments, ensuring FedRAMP compliance and NIST security standards
• Develop proof-of-concept implementations to evaluate technology viability, conduct performance benchmarking, and assess technical debt tradeoffs
• Drive architecture, design, and code reviews, mentoring junior engineers and influencing critical technical decisions
• Work across our databases, API, client codebases, and infrastructure

This may be a good fit if you have:

• 5+ years of professional software development experience with significant exposure to enterprise-scale distributed systems
• A proven track record building and scaling web applications capable of handling concurrent users and high transaction volumes
• Experience employing domain-driven design principles and solving complex technical challenges with appropriate design patterns
• Proficiency in React ecosystem, component optimization techniques, and front-end performance tuning
• Experience integrating and fine-tuning large language models (transformers) via APIs and implementing prompt engineering techniques
• Experience with AWS GovCloud, including IAM policies, VPC architecture, and security group configuration
• Experience writing infrastructure as code using Terraform modules
• Experience configuring and managing Kubernetes clusters, including deployment strategies, service mesh implementation, and resource optimization

Preferred Qualifications:

• Early stage start up experience
• Familiarity with DevOps practices
• Strong understanding of security best practices and secure coding principles
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment
